Video Display Corp Selected In Aegis Cruiser Modernization

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 6, 2006--Video Display Corporation (NASDAQ-NMS:VIDE - News) announces that its Aydin Displays, Inc. subsidiary has been selected by Lockheed Martin - Maritime Systems & Sensors, Moorestown, NJ to supply its rugged COTS Thin Client Flat Panel Display for the Cruiser Modernization COTS Refresh 2 Program. Aydin's high-performance rugged COTS Thin Client Flat Panel Display will be integrated into the Aegis Weapons System, Operational Readiness Test System (ORTS).

The Aydin Displays Model 4420R5C 20.1" Rugged Thin Client Flat Panel Display was selected by Lockheed Martin for its superior display performance characteristics, while being able to perform in severe military environments.

The total program has anticipated requirements for several hundred COTS Thin Client Flat Panel Displays with a potential value of over $6 Million with scheduled deliveries over a multi-year period. The initial order is scheduled for shipment in the first quarter of the Company's 2006 fiscal year beginning March 1, 2006.
